Another interesting place to visit is the old Hanseatic town Stade. Its narrow alleys are lined with ancient half-timbered houses. Special tourist attractions are the former harbour, a reconstructed wooden crane, and the Schwedenspeicher, an old storehouse from the Swedish times of Stade.
