Neuengamme Concentration Camp Memorial Site

The Neuengamme Concentration Camp Memorial commemorates this dark period of German history at the site of the former concentration camp in Hamburg.
More than 100,000 victims of National Socialism were imprisoned here between 1938 and 1945, of whom about 50,000 were murdered.
The specially trained guides of the Hamburger Gästeführer Verein (Hamburg Tour Guide Association) give a sensitive introduction to what happened at various stations on the grounds and thus also keep the memory alive.
